In which I draw fanart, because I’m a fan

It’s been about, good grief, 30 years since I last drew fanart. (I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was X-wing fighters, TIE fighters and the Millennium Falcon.)

But Noelle Stevenson’s (gingerhaze) webcomic (soon to be a book!) Nimona is just irresistible. A recent page had a rampaging, fire-wreathed hellbeast triggering a lockdown on levels B1 through B3… which made me wonder, how did that make the people on level B4 feel?

I’ll admit, I’m kind of flummoxed over etiquette. Do you post fanart on someone’s webcomic as a comment (or is that presumptuous)? Post it on your own blog and link (or is that spammy)? Webcomic friends, got any insights?
