OpenLabourNZ is an initiative to create a Labour Party policy on Open and Transparent Government. It is also an experiment in using new online engagement methods to develop policy. For background on why OpenLabourNZ is happening and the principles behind it read this (link no longer works).

Following several months of blogging on the topic by Labour MPs and other interested people, and many online comments and discussions, a day long event was held in Wellington on 28 August:

 

The purpose of this web site is to document the outputs of OpenLabourNZ, and to create a final report to go to into the Labour Party’s policy development process.
