Screwing up and apologizing: a case study

  1. I mistook the Educational Policy Institute for the fringe-right-wing Education Policy Institute. Oops.
  2. I didn’t double and triple check before posting a blog comment based on my misapprehension. Double and triple oops.
  3. I apologized over there, and I’ll apologize over here: to Alex Usher and the non-crazy EPI, I’m sorry for my carelessness and the unwarranted implications of my comment.

    Only way to go.

    One tiny adddition would be to maybe to add a trackback as well.

    Would be kind of like the ‘erratum’ link we use in the science geek world (ie. so everyone can see the corrected mistake when they come across the source article).

    Thanks, Ross. Felt like a goof. Trackback’s still kinda dodgy in WordPress 1.5, as far as I can tell; I hope that correcting it on their blog’s comments section is the next best thing.
