(Ottawa) – Fourteen people are known dead, dozens are injured and several missing following explosive testimony at today’s Gomery inquiry hearings.

Justice Gomery escaped injury, and blames the explosion on a “perfect storm” of witness scheduling.

“We had one witness who gave incendiary testimony and a second who was caught in a heated cross-examination, which combined to create particularly dangerous conditions.” he said. “When a third witness dropped a bombshell, disaster was inevitable.”

Critics have been warning for days that the buildup of journalistic clich?©s around the testimony could prove lethal.
