And yet something about it strikes me as poignant. Maybe it’s the number of people out there who aren’t exploring their first lives with any sense of play, discovery or fun. Perhaps Darren should open his site up to user accounts… and then put them in touch with each other.
- We hired another employee, Second Life developer Catherine Winters (aka Catherine Omega). And not just any developer: she’s the reigning expert on Second Life’s scripting language, LSL. (Also, a wonderful person. Also, wicked smart.)
- We announced our Second Life practice and published our first white paper, Second Life: What it is and why it matters (PDF, 450 kb).
- We held a reception in Second Life to welcome Catherine and do a little meeting and greeting.
- We posted a job vacancy for a sixth employee, a web services consultant. Know any progressive, community-minded geeks? Send ’em our way.
Oh, and we tweaked the web site, added a few more buckets of content and generally rocked out.
So if you phone and I sound a little out of breath, you’ll understand.
